My secondary and higher school education were at Baptist High School Ede and the School of Basic Studies of the Polytechnic Ibadan. University of Ibadan gave me undergraduate training. The residency training, that started my teaching career and that earned me Fellowships of the West African College of Surgeons and National Postgraduare Medical College of Nigeria, were undertaken at the University Collge Hospital Ibadan and Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital Kaduna. Thereafter I joined the academic staff of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, established the Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery Department of National Hospital Abuja before appointment to the Chair of Oral and MaxillofaciSurgery in Lagos State University College of Medicine Ikeja. I have supervised several postgraduate dissertations, been Dean, HOD, Chairman and member of College and University Committees, Professorial assessor for several universities and Accreditation Panels Chairman and member. I have been Chairman of Governing Board, Senate and President of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. I have several recognitions and awards locally and internationally. Foundation Fellow of Nigeria Academy of Medicine and Distinguished Service award by the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons are some of them. Have held position as Presidents Nigeria and African Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and Executive Committee member of International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
