The extensive development in infrastructure at LASUCOM has led to the establishment of a dedicated
ICT Unit, which now provides fully computerized services across the College. This unit is primarily
responsible for coordinating all ICT-related functions within the College.

Key responsibilities of the ICT Unit include:

  • Providing advice on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) matters.
  • Managing the operations and maintenance of LASUCOM's data communication infrastructure,
    including the internet and intranet.
  • Offering end-user training and support for MIS projects.
  • Assisting in the procurement of ICT resources for the College.
  • Providing helpdesk services and support for end-user computing, including office automation,
    information systems, hardware, and general ICT needs.
  • Overseeing the management of information resources.
  • Designing, developing, administering, managing, and maintaining databases.
  • Offering ICT consultancy services.
  • Performing minor repairs on PCs and common accessories.
  • Installing, maintaining, configuring, and upgrading systems, including both hardware and
    software.

Mission: To leverage ICT optimally to enhance efficiency among both staff and students, while striving
to align with the evolving global information and knowledge-based economies.

Vision: To establish a center of excellence where the power of ICT is fully utilized to drive effective
teaching and research, fostering innovation in educational technology.
