A graduate of Medicine and Surgery, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria and Fellow of Anatomical Pathology, National Postgraduate Medical College Of Nigeria is well trained in the field of anatomic pathology, which include autopsy pathology, histopathology, molecular pathology and cytopathology. Further training included an international training as a visiting scholar on exchange program through cultura vista to Novartis institute for biomedical research in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA in June – August, 2015 during collaborative work on West African Breast Cancer Study involving LASUTH, UChicago and Novartis. I am currently a senior lecturer and i teach and train undergraduate Medical and Postgraduate students in Pathology in Lagos State University College of Medicine and Teaching Hospital.

Research Interests/Specialisations

Some research articles authored or co-authored by me have been published in breast pathology, immunohistochemistry/molecular pathology and autopsy pathology subspecialties of Pathology. There are on-going researches in these areas, which also include collaborative work with Universities within and outside the Country. Currently, a clinical trial on breast cancer, assessing the response rate of neoadjuvant taxotere and trastuzumab in Nigerian women with her-2 positive breast cancer (ARETTA) in collaboration with the University of Chicago is a project in which i participate as a Pathologist.
