Dr. Edobor Festus Emiogun was born in Benin City, Nigeria. He had early education in Benin City before proceeding to the School of Medicine, University of Benin, where he obtained the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in October 2003. After the compulsory National Youth Service Corps scheme and a stint with private medical practice, he commenced residency training in Anatomic Pathology in the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine, Lagos State University teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos, and obtained the Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in Pathology (FMCPath) in May, 2016. Dr. Emiogun was engaged as Lecturer I in Pathology in the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine, Lagos State University College of Medicine, in 2019 and is also Honorary Consultant Pathologist to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH). He has led and co-authored numerous scientific articles which have been published in reputable local and international peer review journals. He has also attended many seminars and conferences both locally and internationally.

Research Interests/Specialisations

My core area of research interest is in tumour biology and genetics with focus on Urological malignancies, especially prostate cancer. He also has research papers on Forensic Pathology with special interest in transportation accident related-deaths.
