I obtained my first degree, Bachelor of Dental surgery (BDS) from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos in 1986. I proceeded to Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) for residency program in periodontology in the department of preventive dentistry and became a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College in Dental Surgery (FMCDS) in 2001. My interests are in the areas of Periodontal Medicine and Surgery I am a Senior Lecturer/Consultant Periodontology in the Department of Preventive Dentistry of Faculty of Dentistry of Lagos State University College of Medicine (LASUCOM). I was former Ag. HOD of the department of preventive dentistry.

Research Interests/Specialisations

Periodontal Disease in Pregnant Women: To assess periodontal health of a group of pregnant women. Exploring pregnant women’s knowledge about periodontal disease and organizing educational program to improve on their periodontal health knowledge 2. Periodontal Health and Systemic diseases: To assess the prevalence of periodontal diseases among patients with diabetes. To explore the correlation of between periodontal disease and this systemic disease. To determine the prevalence of periodontal disease in underserved populations. 3.Oral Health Related Quality of Life: Assessment of the Impact of Periodontal Disease on Oral Health Related Quality of Life among patients
