Academic Background, Trainings, Skills, Positions, Teaching, Achievements (in Summary).

Am a Senior Lecturer in Prosthodontics in the department of restorative dentistry, faculty of dentistry. I obtained BDS in 1987 University of Lagos, and pursued postgraduate residency training at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital after which I obtained FWACS. I proceeded abroad for post graduate training and obtained FDS RCPS (Glasgow), MFGDP (UK), M.Sc. in Restorative Dentistry (Manchester) and M.Sc. Clinical Education (Sheffield). I have attended numerous training courses in Prosthodontics and Dentistry as a whole both locally and internationally with award of certificates. I have acquired skills during the trainings especially related to prosthodontics practice, use of minimum intervention dentistry and infection control in Post Covid-19 clinical settings, and management of medical emergencies in dental practice. I have served in various committees in the faculty, college and the University and taken up leadership role as acting head of department. I teach and supervise both undergraduate and post graduate dental students in prosthodontics. I have achieved some awards of service at both faculty level and the University ODRL-QAIC. I participate in collaborative researches and grant applications interdepartmentally, interfaculty and other universities in multi-centred studies.
