DR. Sunday S. Soyemi is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine, in Lagos State University College of Medicine. He obtained his MBChB in the Ogun State University now known as Olabisi Onabanjo University in 1994. He did his Houseman ship in State Hospital Ijebu-Ode and proceeded with his compulsory youth service in Sokoto where he distinguished himself and won the best youth Corper in that year. He had a brief stint in general medical practice before he went ahead for his residency training program in Anatomic Pathology under the tutelage and mentorship of Prof. John Obafunwa. He became a fellow of the National postgraduate medical college of Nigeria in November 2010. Following his quest for academics, he joined the College of Medicine in 2011 and rose to become an Associate Professor in 2018, the position he still holds. Dr. Soyemi Sunday has done many research works with more than 60 scholarly publications to his credit in both local and international journals. In recognition of his contribution to knowledge and research works he was awarded a Fellow of the College of Pathologist of the East, Central and Southern Africa in 2016 His research interest lies in the field of Neuropathology/ Head& Neck Pathology and Forensic Pathology. He has also trained many Residents some of which are doing well outside the shores of this country. He has travelled far and wide with attendance in many local and international conferences. He is currently the head of the Department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine and also the acting Chief Medical Examiner for the State. He is happily married with children.

My research interest lies in the field of Neuropathology/ Head& Neck Pathology and Forensic Pathology
