I trained as a Dental Surgeon at the University of Lagos and obtained my Fellowship in Orthodontics from West African College of Surgeons. Thereafter, my research through collaboration with other researchers have investigated the epidemiology and aetiology of malocclusion. Started my Academic career in January 2013 as a Lecturer in the Department of Child Dental Health, Lagos State University College of Medicine, Lagos, Nigeria and was promoted as a Senior Lecturer, Department of Child Dental Health, Lagos State University College of Medicine in October 2016. I was appointed as the Acting Head of Department, Department of Child Dental Health, Lagos State University College of Medicine. Lagos. Nigeria in March 2018 till March 2022. I was appointed as a Honorary Consultant, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Lagos, Nigeria in March 2020. Honors include: 2021: 3rd Lagos State University Research Fair Research Grant recipient 2020: The Richard L. and Nancy M. Christiansen Professorship in International Programs in Oral Health Education and Research Grant recipient 2020: Best Poster Presentation at the 14th Annual Scientific Conference of the Nigerian Association of Orthodontists, Lagos, Nigeria Co-Author 2019: Best Academic staff, Faculty of Dentistry, Lagos State University College of Medicine, Lagos, Nigeria 2016: Best Poster Presentation at the 10th Annual Scientific Conference of the Nigerian Association of Orthodontists, Lagos, Nigeria Co-author 2015: Best Poster Presentation at the 9th Annual Scientific Conference of the Nigerian Association of Orthodontists, Abuja, Nigeria Co-Author 2008: Best case presentation by Orthodontic Residents at the 2nd Scientific conference of the Nigerian Association of Orthodontists recipient
