The Department

The Department of Medicine provides clinical training in all disciplines of Medicine for undergraduate medical and dental students towards the attainment of the MB;BS/BDS degrees of the Lagos State University.

The department also provides postgraduate training for Residents in Internal Medicine for the attainment of fellowship awards of the various Postgraduate Medical Colleges.

Teaching and Assessment of Student

The students are assessed via in-course examinations   at the end of every posting.  This includes Theory and Multiple Choice Questions, Long and Short cases for the clinical aspect. The final MB;BS examination takes place at the end of 600 levels   and it comprises Theory and Multiple   Choice Questions and Objective Structured Clinical Examination.

Attendance Policy

Candidates are required to make 75% attendance to be eligible for the End-of-Course Examination.
