Academic Background, Trainings, Skills, Positions, Teaching, Achievements (in Summary).

Medical training was at the prestigious College of Medicine of the Umiversity of Lagos, followed by a Master of Public Health at the University of Lagos. Her fellowship in Public Health was obtained at the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. Dr Bakare is a Senior Lecturer in a Department of Community Health and Primary Health Care of the Lagos State University College of Medicine, Ikeja. She teaches courses in Community Health and supervises projects and dissertations of undergraduate and postgraduate students respectively. Highly equipped with experience in researching and consulting on Primary Health Care, epidemiology of non-communicable diseases, disease control and programming, monitoring and evaluation etc. Dr Bakare is a great team player with leadership and interpersonal skills, committed to in-depth knowledge and experience in Health Systems Strengthening and preventive care of the older persons. She has led professionals associations and presently a member of the Governing Board of the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board
