Dr AP Adebola is a professor of medicine at the department of medicine of the Lagos state university college of medicine. He also doubles as a consultant cardiologist to the Lagos state university teaching hospital, Ikeja, since September 2003. He was Ag. Head of Department of Medicine from March 2016 TO February 2018. He has extensive postgraduate training in internal medicine and cardiology both in Nigeria and abroad. His areas of expertise is mainly in Non-invasive clinical and Laboratory evaluation of cardiac patients. His areas of research interests include 24-hour ambulatory holter testing, HIV and the heart, Systemic hypertension, cardiac biomarkers and peri- operative and follow up evaluation of open heart surgery patients. He is a member of several international and local professional bodies such as American college of cardiology, American heart Association, European society of cardiology, pan-African society of cardiology, West African society for pharmacology and the Nigerian cardiac society. He has keen interest in sports and current Affairs. He is also an avid reader.
