Academic Background, Trainings, Skills, Positions, Teaching, Achievements (in Summary).

Dr Akinyinka received her basic medical training at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, and also obtained a Master of Public Health degree from the same university. Her Residency training took place at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital where she was the first Consultant produced by the Department of Community health and Primary Health Care. Upon completion of the programme, she was employed by the Lagos State University College of Medicine. She also obtained a Post-graduate Diploma in Child Nutrition from the University of Boston in 2019. Her training has adequately prepared her for teaching and mentoring of medical, dental, nursing, pharmacology and physiology undergraduate students and post graduate students. She also supervises and guides the writing of her students’ dissertations. She currently serves as the Deputy Editor of the Faculty of Clinical Sciences Journal- Annals of Clinical Sciences- and Chairman of the Faculty Research Committee. She is a team player and is currently involved in COVID-19 research.
