Research Interests/Specialisations

My research is focused on general ophthalmology, glaucoma, and ocular trauma. This has involved the design and implementation of a state-wide epidemiological survey in glaucoma related services in terms of medical, surgical and patients’ related experiences with glaucoma care. I have also been involved in investigating the epidemiology and impact of a wide variety of ocular and vision related specialties, such as diabetic retinopathy, ocular trauma, cataract surgical services, public eye health and blindness prevention. I am a member of the International Eye research Network based at the International Centre for Eye Health, London, UK. I have over 40 publications in local and international peer review journals and have presented papers at local and international conferences.
