I graduated (MBChB) from the Obafemi Awolowo College of Health Sciences, Sagamu, Ogun State University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State in 1994. I am a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (Radiotherapy and Oncology) since 2004, and had my postgraduate training at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi – Araba, Lagos, between 2000 – 2004.

Research Interests/Specialisations

 

Several of my studies document the survival rate of breast cancer in developing countries. I am presently the site  Principal investigator and the coordinator of an ongoing study -Assessing the REsponse rate of weekly neoadjuvanT pacliTAxel (Taxol) in Nigerian women with breast cancer (ARETTA).

I am a member of a number of professional bodies involved in the understanding of cancer pain and management, which includes: African Organization of Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC), American Society of Clinical Oncologists (ASCO) and European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO).

I am presently the head of LASUCOM Radiology/LASUTH Oncology Department and Co – Principal investigator/ Coordinator of The West African Breast Cancer Study Group .
