Academic Background, Trainings, Skills, Positions, Teaching, Achievements (in Summary).

I attended Corona school (primary education), Lagos Anglican Girls; Grammar school (Secondary school).
I had my Medical education in the College of Medicine Alexandria University, Egypt, sponsored through a Federal Government scholarship, after which I did my internship in Lagos University teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba.
Joined the Lagos State Health Service Commission and was posted to General Hospital Ikeja in 1985.
Underwent my Residency training in LUTH, graduating in 1992.
Was recruited into LASUCOM as a Senior Lecturer and the pioneer HOD of the Department of Radiology.
I was the National Secretary of the Faculty of Radiology, 2011 to 2014. For more than a decade, I have been an Examiner in the NPMCN and WACS and a member of their court of examiners and Faculty Boards.
I have been opportune to be a member of the National Universities Commission (NUC) Resource Accreditation team for Radiography Course.
I have been a resource person to many update courses. Was Chairman of the Diploma of Ultrasound Committee, Faculty of Radiology, NPMCN, an Associate Editor NPMJ editorial committee of the NPMCN.
I belong to a number of committees in the College of Medicine and University, and am currently the Chairman of the LASU Health Board.
I belong to a couple of Professional Associations such as Association of Radiologists of West Africa (ARAWA), Association of Radiologists In Nigeria (ARIN), Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Association of American Women Radiologists (AAWR), International Society of Radiologists(ISR), Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Member of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
Along the line, I acquired several skills from various trainings which includes, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, CT Scan and MRI Scan, to mention but a few.
I am the current and pioneer president of the Breast Imaging Society of Nigeria (BISON) and have been able to initiate and run with my collaegues a mobile ultrasound guided biopsy clinic in the Department of Radiology, LASUTH, after having been trained through a NIH research grant (of which I am a co-investigator) in collaboration with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre (MSK), Obafemi Awolowo Teaching Hospital Complex (OAU) and the African Research Group for Oncology (ARGO).
